If the plug of your electrical appliance does not fit, you can buy an adapter at reception.

ATM/Cash Dispenser

It is possible to withdraw money from the ATMs in the village (one at the Raiffeisenbank at the station and one at the Berner Kantonalbank opposite Hotel Sunstar in the main street). There is also an ATM up at Kleine Scheidegg.

Breakfast buffet

Breakfast is served daily from 7:15 bis 09:30 in our dining room. On request we are happy to serve a continental breakfast in room (Supplement Sfr. 2.- per person)

Check in and Check out

Your room will be ready for your use after 16:00. May we kindly ask you to vacate your room by 11:00 on the day of your departure.

Our porter will be pleased to give you a lift up to the train station, please inform us about your departure time.

Chemist

we no longer have a chemist in Wengen. The nearest one is in Wilderswil.

Church Services

Wengen has 3 churches, the swiss protestant church, the catholic church and the english church. The times of services are published in our information file at the reception desk.

Dogs

We allow dogs in our hotel at a supplement charge of Sfr. 10.- per dog and per day without food. Please understand that your dog is not allowed into the dining room.

Environmental service

Every day, Hotel launder a great many towels – most of them unnecessary. This leads to enourmous quantities of detergent polluting our water systems. You too, can make your contribution to preserving our environment – by using your bath linen more than once. Please see details in your bathroom. Thank you !!!

Evening Meals

Every evening we serve a set 4-course evening meal with a vegetarian option for the main course. A member of staff will show you to your table. Dinner starts at 7 pm. We kindly ask you to be at your table by 8 pm.

Excursions

The Jungfrau Region offers a huge variety of hiking trails and skiing slopes. You will find brochures and information at the hotel entrance. The tourist office is located in the centre of the village.

Hiking pass

The Top of Europe pass is a top-value ticket to the most spectacular hikes and excursions in the Jungfrau Region. It is valid on 3-8 consecutive days and can be purchased at our reception desk.

Laundry Service

Please put your clothes on the bed, in the bag left fort his purpose with this form completed. The chambermaid will do your laundry in 2 days. Laundry service is closed on Saturday and on Sunday (winter).

There is a laundry in the village behind the Hotel Silberhorn.

Library

Please ask for our list of library books at the reception.

Reception

Our reception desk is at your disposal from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 22:00. If you leave early in the morning we kindly ask you to settle your bill the evening before after dinner.

Shuttle bus

We offer a daily shuttle-bus servce from the hotel to the station

from 08:00 – 12:00 am. Please ask for the porter at the reception desk.

You can leave your skis free of charge at the sport shop „Central Sport“ just next to the Männlichen cable car station. The voucher is available at the reception desk.

You can purchase your skipass at the reception desk.

Smoking ban

Since July 2009 smoking in public areas such as restaurants, bars and the hotel lobby has been banned. All our rooms are non-smoking aswell. It is possible to smoke on your balcony, we shall happily provide you with an ashtray.
